Buying cannabis products online in India is legal when you buy an AYUSH-licensed Vijaya preparation from a seller that routes the order through a doctor. The part nobody explains is what happens between paying and the parcel arriving.
Kushiva makes cannabis leaf extract in four formats, from Rs 1,199, with a certificate of analysis behind every batch.See the range
General information, not legal or medical advice. Cannabis products in India are regulated and, where medicinal, prescription-only. Vijaya (cannabis leaf extract) should be used only under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner. Prices checked 15 August 2026 and change often.
Is it legal to order cannabis online in India?
Yes, for Ayurvedic leaf preparations from a licensed manufacturer. The NDPS Act excludes the leaves and seeds from its ban, which is why the category exists. What is not legal is buying flowering tops or resin, whatever a listing calls them.
Do I have to see a doctor first?
A registered practitioner has to see the order at some point. Sellers differ on when. Some consult before you can buy and price the product afterwards. Kushiva lets you order first, then either upload a prescription you already hold or take a consultation we arrange at no extra cost, and holds the order until that clears.
What happens after I pay?
At Kushiva: the order goes to an in-house doctor before it is packed. If something does not add up — a format that does not match the request, an interaction worth flagging — we contact you rather than ship it. Our guide to Vijaya and other medicines covers the interactions that come up most.
Will the packaging say what is inside?
Not on the outside. Orders ship in plain, unbranded packaging. The GST invoice is inside the box, which matters if you want a paper trail or need to claim it.
How long does delivery take?
Three to five working days across India once the prescription step clears. That last clause is the one that catches people out: the clock starts when the doctor review completes, not when you pay.
Can I see the lab report?
Every batch has a certificate of analysis. The lab results page explains what our certificate covers and, just as usefully, what it does not — contaminant screening is a separate test worth asking any seller about.
What if something is wrong with the order?
The refund and return policy sets out the window and the process. If a document you receive does not match the pack, that is worth raising immediately rather than living with.
What should I have ready before ordering?
A prescription if you hold one, the delivery address and a working phone number — the doctor step needs to reach you, and an order with no contactable number stalls there. Prepaid only: UPI, cards or netbanking.
