Before buying any cannabis oil in India as a beginner, confirm five things: the product states its category and strength clearly; a batch certificate of analysis exists; a doctor is involved before dispatch; a GST invoice is issued; and you are buying the smallest format to start. If a seller fails any of these, walk away.

The beginner format is the 10 ml oil at Rs 1,199, GST included, with free delivery anywhere in India. At 200 mg of extract per millilitre that is 2,000 mg in the bottle. There is no subscription, no membership and no minimum order — you buy one bottle and the commitment ends there.

The 30 ml bottle is the same strength per millilitre, not a stronger product. It works out cheaper per millilitre and lasts longer, which is worth knowing but is rarely the right first purchase: a smaller bottle is a cheaper way to find out whether the format suits you at all.

Comparing the wrong numbers. Indian brands variously print milligrams per bottle, milligrams per millilitre, or a percentage. Convert everything to milligrams per millilitre before concluding that anything is cheap or strong.

Buying the largest bottle first. A bigger bottle is better value only if the format turns out to suit you.

Taking more because nothing seems to be happening. Ingestible formats are slow. Repeat amounts belong to the approved label and the reviewing doctor, not to impatience.

Not mentioning other medicines. This is the single most useful thing to raise on the doctor call; there is a plain-language summary in Vijaya and your other medicines.

Buying where no batch certificate exists. If a seller cannot point to a certificate for the batch in the bottle, the strength printed on the label is an unverified claim.
